Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC invites runners and walkers of all levels to join Four Seasons corporate and hotel employees each year for it annual Race to Beat Cancer at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, DC to raise critical funds for cancer research. For the past 20 years we have partnered with MedStar Washington Hospital Center’s Washington Cancer Institute in support of their critical care and ongoing cancer research.
Due to coronavirus (COVID-19), we will be turning our 40th Anniversary Race To Beat Cancer into a virtual race only. Our biggest priority is for the health and safety of all Race To Beat Cancer families, participants, volunteers, and community. It is our commitment to provide the safest environment as possible for all who engage with us. While we look forward to seeing everyone at the Race To Beat Cancer each year, we see this decision as the safest and most responsible option. Now more than ever we need your support for some of our most vulnerable fighting cancer amid COVID-19. Join us today to maintain our commitment to cancer research and supporting those that are on the frontlines treating those battling cancer.

Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC invites runners and walkers of all levels to join Four Seasons corporate and hotel employees for the annual Race to Beat Cancer at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, DC on October 3, 2020. This year’s race is will mark the 40th Anniversary of this race in Washington, DC and our 20th year partnership with MedStar Washington Hospital Center Washington Cancer Institute.
The commitment of Four Seasons to cancer research began in 1980, when Isadore Sharp personally pledged to support Terry Fox’s historic Marathon of Hope and wrote to 999 other Canadian executives urging them to join in support of cancer research. The following year, Four Seasons organized the first ever Terry Fox Run in support of cancer research, in his memory.
As part of its unwavering global commitment to the cause, Four Seasons organizes and participates in annual charity runs and other initiatives all over the world to raise funds toward advancing cancer research benefitting the Terry Fox Foundation and local cancer research and care facilities.
As Regional Vice President and General Manager, David Bernand, says, “Cancer is a disease that has touched us all in some way. This race is a meaningful way to honor and remember those that this disease has impacted, and to take an empowering stand against it.” We are committed to raising money to continue to help fund cancer research and clinical trials, and we need your help.
